1872 10-Piece Proof Set
All PCGS-Certified, PR58-PR65

1872 10-Piece Proof Set, PR58-PR65 PCGS. Ex: Getty 1872 Set. All 10 coins are PCGS-certified and sequentially numbered. Included are:

Cent PR64 Red and Brown. Hazy olive-brown toning is intermixed with significant portions of original mint red.

Two Cent PR65 Red and Brown. A splendid Gem proof that is deeply mirrored and retains most of the original bright red luster.

Three Cent Silver PR64. The fields are deeply mirrored and each side is just slightly toned with a light haziness present as well.

Three Cent Nickel PR63. Light oil-slick iridescence is seen over each side. A couple of unfortunate marks on the obverse explain the grade.

Nickel PR64. Fully struck and moderately mirrored with just a hint of light toning on each side.

Half Dime PR64 Cameo. Pale golden-rose and lilac toning is seen over each side of this deeply mirrored proof that also shows thick, contrasting mint frost.

Dime PR63. Deep, variegated toning covers each side and partially subdues the proof fields.

Quarter PR62. Almost completely brilliant, just the slightest trace of peripheral color can be seen. Deeply reflective fields.

Half Dollar PR64. Close to cameo contrast, the fields are deeply mirrored and the devices heavily frosted. Moderate reddish patina is deeper around the margins.

Seated Dollar PR58. Completely brilliant, the fields are scuffed from obvious coin-to-coin contact.
