Description
1893 Five-Piece Proof Set, PR64-PR66
All PCGS-Certified
1893 Five-Piece Proof Set PR64-PR66 PCGS. This five-piece
proof set has been certified by PCGS, and the dime, quarter, and
half dollar are sequentially numbered. Included are:Cent PR64 Red and Brown. Nicely mirrored with a mixture of original red luster with deeper jade-green patina. Housed in a first-generation holder.
Nickel PR66. The proof mirrors are exceptionally bright, and each side is just a bit removed from full brilliance with a lovely hint of rose and lilac toning.
Dime PR65. Well-matched from side to side with deeply mirrored fields and just a hint of light rose toning on each side.
Quarter PR64 Cameo. CAC. The depth of mirroring in the fields is profound and establishes a "black" background for the thickly frosted devices. We agree this piece is high-end for the grade.
Half Dollar PR65 Cameo. Like the quarter, this piece also exhibits unfathomably deep mirrors in the fields with starkly contrasting frosted devices. Each side is mostly brilliant with just a hint of pale golden toning around the margins.
