    1895 Five-Piece Minor Proof Set, PR65-66
    All PCGS-Certified and CAC-Endorsed

1895 1C Five-Piece Minor Proof Set, PR65-66 PCGS. This high-quality better date five-piece minor proof set, cent through half dollar, is well-matched. The set is housed in consecutively numbered PCGS holders grading PR65-66 and all coins are CAC-endorsed. This is likely an original set that has remained together since issued in 1895. Included are:

Cent PR65 Red and Brown. Most of each side is deep cherry-red, only the upper rim of the obverse displays blue toning. The fields are deeply reflective and each side appears to be spot-free.

Nickel PR65. The strike details are completely detailed on each side and the surfaces display just the slightest ice-blue toning with a smattering of flyspecks.

Dime PR66. Irregular, but incredible, iridescent toning is seen on each side with significant portions that also retain original mint brilliance. Quite a piece to behold.

Quarter PR66 Cameo. The centers are mostly brilliant which allows the mint frost to contrast strongly against the depth of mirroring in the fields. The margins are widely toned in rings of russet-rose and blue. Exceptionally attractive.

Half Dollar PR66. Toned in a similar fashion to the quarter, but somewhat more diffuse. The same russet-rose and blue toning is seen around the peripheries, but the colors blend into one another on this piece and the marginal toning is wider with a smaller bright, untoned center. Nicely reflective fields.
