    Description

Important 1872 Proof Set, Choice-Gem Quality

1872 1C Cent PR 65 Red and Brown NGC. Lovely orange luster dominates this coin's outward appearance, but it does share both sides with glossy olive-brown patina. The razor sharp devices contrast minimally, although appreciably with the modestly reflective fields. The rarity of high quality business strike 1872 cents should result in strong bidder competition for this carefully preserved proof. (NGC ID# 23XE, PCGS# 7440)
