    Description

1872 25C Quarter PR 65 NGC. The obverse is nearly untoned, the reverse is lightly patinated with dappled russet highlights near the lower right periphery. A razor sharp specimen with nary a distracting hairline to report. The low mintage 1872 (182,950 pieces produced) is a difficult coin to locate as both a business strike and a proof, particularly at the Gem level of preservation.
