    Description

1872 50C Half PR 65 NGC. Below the PR 65 grade level, the 1872 is no rarer than most other proof half dollars from this era. Gems are, however, elusive, and high quality type collectors would be wise to take full advantage of the present offering. This coin is tinted in silver-gray hues that deepen to orange-gold shades over the borders. The deeply reflective fields shine forth at all angles, the devices are fully impressed and clean. (NGC ID# 23XE, PCGS# 7440)
