Description
ANACS 1805 Ex-Jewelry, Genuine, Ungraded. We grade the coin XF 40. Apparently the surface damage done to the coin by being in jewelry is limited to the edge as we cannot see any definite signs of repair or damage on the obverse or reverse. As a date, the 1805 quarter eagle is considered a common one but this term must be understood in the context of the series as only 75-100 pieces are believed known in all grades. Yellow-gold color and showing only a couple of minor marks on each side.
Coin Index Numbers: (PCGS# 7653, GSID# 8215)
Metal: 91.67% Gold, 8.33% Copper
Weight: 4.37 grams
AGW: 0.1288oz
Mintage: 1,781
Note for clients in the European Union: This lot is considered by the European Union to be “investment gold”. We believe that it meets the criteria established in Article 344(1), point (2) of Council Directive 2006/112/EC and thus should be exempt from import VAT regardless of the selling price. Any questions or concerns about VAT should be addressed to your accountant or local tax authority.
