Description

Uncirculated 1807 Quarter Eagle

1807 MS 61 NGC. A popular coin for type purposes and the final year of the Capped Bust Right series. Yet, only 6,812 pieces were originally produced, hardly qualifying this year as a common date. The green-gold surfaces show few abrasions, the only ones of note being behind Liberty's mouth and in the field in front of Liberty's eye. Shallow adjustment marks are seen in the center of the obverse, and the center of both obverse and reverse are softly impressed, as usual. Scarce and always in demand in mint condition.
