Desirable Borderline Uncirculated 1825 Quarter Eagle

1825 $2 1/2 AU58 NGC. Breen-6128, Bass-3021, R.4. The 1825 Quarter Eagle has three die marriages that divide the low mintage of 4,434 pieces. Bass-3021, as referenced in the Harry W. Well struck aside from the vertical shield lines, this moderately prooflike slider has attractive freckles of golden-brown patina. There are no handling marks that require individual mention. Population: 11 in 58, 18 finer (11/03).
    From the Fred Miller Collection.(#7664) (NGC ID# 25FG, PCGS# 7664)
