Rare Mint State 1825 Quarter Eagle1825 $2 1/2 MS60 NGC. A very rare type coin to find in any grade, particularly so in uncirculated condition. The surfaces show scattered handling nicks and scratches expected for the grade which are somewhat magnified by the reflective fields. This coin is identifiable by a thin nick between the second star and Liberty's chin, and another scuff left of the denomination on the reverse. One final nick is found above the ES of STATES. Sharply struck throughout and a very rare type coin. The combined NGC and PCGS population reports note two coins graded this high with 38 pieces graded finer of this date.
