    Description

    Good 6 1796 Quarter, B-2
    The Classic Type Coin

1796 25C Good 6 PCGS. B-2, R.3. Star 13 shows clear separation from the nearby bust. The obverse of this well-worn but intriguing 1796 quarter presents an unusual "spotted" appearance with dots of deep blue against a medium-gray background which shows green and periwinkle overtones. Marks are generally wispy on that side, though a few longer and deeper abrasions are noted, most visibly in the field to the right of Liberty's neck. The reverse shows more extensive rim merging and a circular depression on the left side of the bow, but that side too is fundamentally pleasing. A solid example for the type enthusiast.(Registry values: P7) (NGC ID# 23RA, PCGS# 5310)
