Popular 1796 Quarter, B-2, AG Details

1796 25C --Holed--NGC. AG Details. B-2, R.3. The 1796 quarter is famous as a one-year-only type, and affordable examples can be hard to come by. While this heavily worn example does show a neat hole through the bottom of the obverse, below the space between the 1 and 7 in the date, this has surprisingly little effect on the overall eye appeal. While parts of the reverse design have worn away, the portrait remains weakly but fully outlined. Gold-gray surfaces show scattered blue overtones.(Registry values: P7) (NGC ID# 23RA, PCGS# 5310)

I popped open one of the beers, put my boots up on the desk, turned up the volume on my monitor and followed my watch list and while I was outbid on my proof Walkers I got a winning bid on a 67+ CAC BTW. Shoot, anniversaries don't come much better than t
