1804 B-1 Quarter Dollar, VF Details
    Excellent Color and Central Definition

1804 25C B-1, R.3 -- Rim Filing -- NGC Details. VF. Tompkins Die State 2/2, clashed on both sides. Under a loupe, some minor rim filing is visible on this midgrade circulated 1804 quarter dollar, although no other problems are apparent. Both sides are smooth with original lavender-gray and olive patina. Complete border dentils complement well-defined central devices, producing excellent eye appeal for the grade. The 1804 is a key date in the Draped Bust quarter series. The B-1 variety is distinctive for the presence of a die gouge between stars 8 and 9.
