Description

1806 B-9 Quarter, XF40
Bisecting Die Crack

1806 25C B-9, R.1, XF40 NGC. Tompkins Die State 3/2. Steel-blue and peach toning intersperse to create a wonderful patina. Wear is even, and no notable abrasions are present. Ten die marriages exist for 1806 quarters, tied with 1818 for the record among Bust quarter dates. The B-9 is the most common, and as such, it is a great candidate for a type coin.
