Near-Mint 1806/5 Quarter, B-1 Die Pair
Great Example of Guide Book Variety
1806/5 25C AU58 NGC. B-1, R.2. This overdate has its own
Guide Book variety, setting it apart from the rest of the
die pairs for the year. The underlying 5 is obvious on this
example, which shows only a trace of friction on softly frosted
silver surfaces with pale apricot and blue accents. The left-side
obverse stars are bluntly struck, but this is a minor concern. For
the variety, Census: 5 in 58, 10 finer (7/12).From The Fred Yee Collection.(Registry values: P6)
