Description

1806/5 Browning-1 Quarter, AU50
Original Surfaces, Popular Overdate

1806/5 25C B-1, R.2, AU50 PCGS. Tompkins Die State 2/3. A few fleeting glimpses of mint luster remain in protected areas on this attractive, moderately circulated overdate quarter. Liberty's hair strands and the eagle's plumage are strong for the AU50 grade, although slight weakness at the borders exists (as always for the B-1 variety). Delightful, old-silver toning blankets both sides, deepening at the edges around warm, silver-gray centers. Marks and abrasions are minimal on the nicely preserved surfaces. Population: 2 in 50, 31 finer (1/16).
