Description

1807 B-1 Quarter, AU53
Beautiful Charcoal-Highlighted Survivor

1807 25C B-1, R.2, AU53 PCGS. Russet-brown predominates over the surfaces of this lovely unabraded AU quarter, with charcoal highlights around the periphery. Strike is strong, and only a hint of wear is present. The B-1 and B-2 die marriages are easily distinguished by the style of the date. The B-1 has wide openings in the 8 and separation between the 1 and curl, where the opposite is true on B-2. After 1807, no more quarters were produced until 1815.
