Description

Republic gold 20 Colones 1925-Mo MS66 NGC, Mexico City mint, KM132. Gem Brilliant Uncirculated and virtually free of handling marks, thus rare and very desirable. The 1892 issues and the present type represent El Salvador's only regular gold issues and are all one-year types of reduced mintage figures. All are very scarce or rare and have traditionally drawn serious interest as such. With a low mintage figure of only 200 pieces, the 1925-Mo 200 Colones is very scarce in any grade and becomes conditionally rare in higher preservations. The present example is among the finest offered in the recent years and, as noted previously, represents a good opportunity to secure an elite representative of the issue. A piece also certified MS66 by NGC hammered at $8,500 in 2014.
