'Hermann the Great' (Magician) Encased Cent, MT-158, R.8
1901 Encased "Hermann the Great" Cent. Aluminum/copper, 38 mm. Encased 1901 Indian cent issued by the world-famous magician, Hermann the Great, under the direction of Thurnaer & Gorman. The Indian cent is a brown Uncirculated example; the ring is about Extra Fine. This is one of the most well-known encased coins.
