Italian Colony - Umberto I 5 Lire 1891 MS65 NGC, KM4. A striking prooflike example from this two-year type, presenting broad surfaces that are dramatically toned to a darkened shade of graphite and underlying hues of royal blue, lavender, and honeydew that shimmer throughout the watery fields, providing a beautiful background for the design elements.
