MS66 Madison Dollar
Double Struck on an Aluminum Feeder Tip
(2007) $1 Madison Presidential Dollar -- Double Struck on an
Aluminum Finger Feeder Tip -- MS66 PCGS. 30 gr. This Madison
dollar was struck on aluminum scrap, presumably a fragment from a
planchet feeder. The scrap is roughly rectangular but has ragged
edges. No date or mintmark is present since the irregular diameter
prevented passage through the edge lettering device. Lustrous with
light gray toning and most of the major devices present. Double
struck with traces of the first impression most evident near
STATES.
