Obverse Manganese Layer Missing
Missing Edge Lettering
(2007) Jefferson Presidential Dollar -- Obverse Manganese Layer
Missing, Missing Edge Lettering -- MS64 PCGS. A dual mint
error, this Jefferson dollar skipped the edge lettering production
step, and in addition was struck from defective strip missing a
clad layer on what became the Jefferson side of the dollar. The
light orange-gold color is a tell-tale indicator, as is the
(undesignated) weight and the soft peripheral strike. The obverse
border has a number of small strike-throughs, as made.
