1798 Draped Bust Cent, AG3
Double Struck, 2nd Strike Off Center
Second Hair Style
1798 1C Draped Bust Cent, Second Hair Style -- Double Struck,
Second Strike Off Center -- AG3 NGC. The first strike was
normal, but the large cent was struck a second time, approximately
30% off center toward 11 o'clock, at 10 o'clock relative to the
first strike. Both dates show, and the date from the second strike
is sharp. Both profiles of Liberty are also present. On the
reverse, AMERICA from the first strike is complete. ONE CENT from
the second strike is bold.
