Description
1847-O Quarter Eagle--Partial Collar Strike--XF45 PCGS. This New Orleans gold coin appears to be struck several degrees off center toward 5 o'clock. The rim is raised and the dentils are softly impressed near 10:30 on the obverse, and opposite near 7:30 on the reverse. The 1 in the date is repunched near the dentil beneath its right foot. A well detailed and original green-gold example.(Registry values: P2)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 25H8, PCGS# 7747, GSID# 8357)
