Full Brockage Reverse VF20
1852 Three Cent Silver
1852 3CS Three Cent Silver--Mirror Brockage on Reverse--VF20
NGC. The reverse of this coin is a full brockage, with incused
and reversed legends and devices. This error was caused when a coin
(not this one) clung to the reverse die after it was struck. The
present piece was then fed between that coin and the obverse die.
It has since toned silver-gray, and is unmarked from its 19th
century stint in circulation.
