Description
1856 25C Seated Quarter--Reverse Die Break--AU55 NGC. A die break dominates the reverse periphery from 8 to 10 o'clock. Portions of a few denticles remain visible. The obverse denticles between 8 and 9 o'clock are softly struck, since metal flowed to the die break during the strike. Deep electric-blue and olive patina embraces this crisp, lightly marked piece.Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 23TB, PCGS# 5438, GSID# 5127)
