Description
1862 1C Cent--Double Struck, Partial Collar--MS60 ANACS. The doubling is most obvious around the peripheries. Dusky gray-brown patina covers both sides with deeper color surrounding the devices and within the recesses of the design. Always an important coin as an error because of the limited number of years copper-nickel Cents were struck.
From the W.E. Boggs Collection.
