Description
Choice Mint State 1862 Indian Cent Struck 20% Off Center
1862 Indian Cent--Struck 20% Off Center--MS64 PCGS. Struck off center toward 11 o'clock on the obverse. A very pleasing error as the surfaces are excellent and the color is an attractive light tan, typical of mint state cents from this period. Identifiable by a tiny nick left of the top of the shield on the reverse, and of course by the amount and direction of the off center strike. Rarely are these early mint errors found in such excellent condition, and this one will become the highlight of any specialized collection lucky enough to obtain it.From The Larry Rausch Collection, Part Two.(#2064) (Registry values: N991)
