Description
1863 Indian Cent, Off Center Strike
1863 1C Cent--20% Off Center MS 64. Although the off center strike is a common error, this lot is noteworthy because of the coin involved. The upper obverse peripheral detail, as well as the corresponding design elements on the reverse, have not be struck. The balance of the devices are, however, quite bold and the date is clearly visible. A pleasing, orange-tan specimen with a somewhat streaky appearance on the reverse. From the Charles O. Blaisdell Collection.
