Impressive 15% Off Center Error
1864 Bronze L Indian Cent, MS63

1864 1C Bronze With L, Struck 15% Off Center, MS63 Brown NGC. Struck off center toward 6 o'clock, but most of the date is intact. A broad area of unstruck surface dominates the upper obverse and lower reverse. A mark-free and satiny golden-brown Civil War cent with minor buildup near ONE CENT. Examples of this date were produced both with and without an L (for Longacre) on the Indian's ribbon. (Registry values: N991)
