1864 1C L On Ribbon Cent--Double Struck, Second Strike 50% Off Center--AU55 PCGS. What a mess! The second strike is off center at 2 o'clock. Two dates, and most of two portraits. Some high relief details from the initial strike have survived within the low relief areas of the second strike. Lavender-brown patina. A desirable variety from the initial year of the Bronze composition.Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 227M, PCGS# 2079, Greysheet# 1452)
