Description

1865 Three Cent Nickel--Struck 15% Off Center--MS63 PCGS. Struck off center toward 4 o'clock on the obverse. Attractive surfaces for the grade, with just a tiny speck located below the O in OF on the obverse. Lightly toned in powder-blue and almond-gold. The first column of the denomination is unevenly struck, otherwise the devices are well struck. Both the obverse and reverse show clash marks, common to this issue.
Ex: The Larry Rausch Collection, Part Two (Heritage, 1/2005), lot 12159.
