Description
Mint State 1865 Three Cent Nickel Struck 15% Off Center
1865 Three Cent Nickel--Struck 15% Off Center--MS63 PCGS. This one is struck off center toward 4 o'clock on the obverse. Attractive surfaces for the grade, with just a tiny speck located below the O in OF on the obverse. Toned with a blush of nickel-blue and a hint of gold throughout. No handling marks worthy of note, and this one is particularly pleasing. The first I of the denomination is unevenly struck, with weak areas seen, otherwise the devices are well struck. Both the obverse and reverse show clash marks, common to this issue. From The Larry Rausch Collection, Part Two.(#3731) (Registry values: N491)
