1874 5C Shield Nickel--Struck 20% Off Center--XF45 PCGS. Struck approximately 25% off center toward 11 o'clock. IN GOD WE TRUST is fully absent from the obverse, while only a sliver of the TS in CENTS is present. A series of spindly die cracks (as made) journey throughout the margins of this attractive and bold silver-gray piece.Ex: Portland Signature (Heritage, 3/2004), lot 6993; Long Beach Signature (Heritage, 9/2004), lot 9097, which realized $1,782.50.
