Struck Fragment 1875 Three Cent Nickel MS64
1875 3CN Three Cent Nickel--Struck Fragment--MS64 ANACS. This fragment was presumably fed between the dies along with a normal-sized planchet (not included.) The wafer-thin fragment was between the obverse die and the normal planchet, which resulted in a uniface obverse strike that shows incused details from the obverse on the reverse. Lustrous and lightly toned with nearly a complete date and portrait.Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 22NS, PCGS# 3743, Greysheet# 2778)
