Description
Choice AU 1884-S Morgan Struck Through a Wire
1884-S $1 Dollar--Obverse Struck Through--AU 58 NGC. All Morgan dollar errors are rare, but the present lot is even more important because it offers a near-Mint example of the conditionally challenging 1884-S delivery. The obverse over and before Liberty's neck display a small indentation where this coin was struck through a wire. There are a few small abrasions, none of which are inconsistent with the grade. Untoned and sharply struck with above average eye appeal for a circulated silver dollar.Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 254P, PCGS# 7156, GSID# 7528)
Weight: 26.73 grams
