Description

1888-O $1 Morgan Dollar--Rotated Reverse--MS63 NGC. VAM-9. Top 100 Variety. The arrows and arrow shafts are die doubled. Struck from widely rotated dies, approximately 120 degrees counterclockwise from usual coin turn. The unusual die alignment results in razor-sharp definition on the claws and lower wreath, while PLURIBUS and the eagle's left (facing) wingtip are weakly struck. A brilliant, lustrous, and well preserved Silver Dollar.
