Off Center 1897 Half Eagle AU55

1897 $5 Liberty Half Eagle--Off Center--AU55 ANACS. Struck slightly off center toward 6 o'clock. The design is intact aside from portions of a few dentils, but a broad area of unstruck surface is centered at 12 o'clock. The upper reverse rim is significantly raised. Although designated AU55 by ANACS, the luster is essentially complete, and the only indication of circulation is a few faint hairlines in the fields.
