Description

1899 1C Cent--Double Struck in Collar--VG10 PCGS. The Cent failed to eject from the dies after the initial strike. Instead, it rotated a couple of degrees counterclockwise, and was struck a second time. The second strike is a couple of degrees off center, with very narrow milling at 5 o'clock on the reverse and wide milling at 10 o'clock. Chocolate-brown in color with several letters in LIBERTY faintly visible.
