Double Struck, Second Strike 85% Off Center 1899 Cent AU58
1899 1C Indian Cent--Double Struck, Second Strike 85% Off Center--AU58 NGC. The second strike is off center toward 6 o'clock, and is located at 12 o'clock relative to the first strike. The first strike is normal, the second strike is uniface. Remarkably, the second strike has a nearly complete date. This chocolate-brown piece appears Mint State aside from faint wear on the wreath ribbon, but has minor build-up near design recesses, and the cheek is moderately abraded.Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 228U, PCGS# 2202, GSID# 1419)
