Description

1899 $20 Error Double Eagle--Laminated Planchet Reverse--MS63 PCGS. Awkwardly worded on the insert, but the gist is that there is a planchet lamination on the reverse. It is relatively wide and runs from the star below the T in TRUST to below the horizontal shield lines. Always of interest to error collectors, gold errors are the rarest type coins and consistently bring strong money when offered at public auction.
