40% Silver Kennedy Half, PR62
Die Adjustment Strike
19??-S 50C Kennedy Half Dollar -- Die Adjustment Strike -- PR62
PCGS. Struck on a 40% silver planchet, which indicates that the
coin was struck between 1968 and 1974. The strike is fairly sharp
across much of the centers, but the borders are indistinct and
retain the granular texture of the planchet prior to the strike.
The borders have also toned medium brown, while the centers remain
brilliant. The San Francisco mintmark is evident, but the date is
fully absent. A fingerprint is noted on the left reverse field.
