1906-D Liberty Ten, MS65
Broadstruck, Breen-7089
1906-D $10 Liberty Eagle -- Broadstruck out of Collar -- MS65
PCGS. Breen-7089. The collar die did not deploy when this
first-year Denver Mint Liberty ten was struck. The broadstrike is
uncentered, with a relatively wide "lip" of raised unstruck surface
centered near 11 o'clock. The strike is intricate, and the lustrous
pumpkin-gold surfaces are remarkably close to pristine. The
preservation is such that this Gem would be highly desirable even
if were not a rare mint error. Breen-7089 is his "1906/5-D"
variety, which shows repunching within the loops of the 6 in the
