Description
Intriguing 1907 Quarter Eagle, Struck From a Partially Filled Reverse Die
1907 MS Quarter Eagle--Minor Filled Die Reverse--MS 64 PCGS. All areas have been boldly struck except for the denomination on the reverse, where foreign matter seems to have interspersed itself between the planchet and the anvil die. The surfaces are richly frosted, nonetheless, with original yellow-gold coloration. A rare gold error.Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 25LY, PCGS# 7859, GSID# 8332)
