Double Struck AU 1907 Nickel
Second Strike 85% Off Center
1907 5C Liberty Nickel -- Double Struck, Second Strike 85% Off
Center -- AU50 PCGS. The first impression of the dies was
normal, but the coin was struck a second time, at 8:30 relative to
the first strike. The second strike is 85% off center toward 7:30
and shows stars 8, 9, and 10 along with a portion of Liberty's
hair. The reverse of the second strike displays the CA in AMERICA
and the TS in CENTS. The stone-gray and almond-gold surfaces are
well defined and exhibit delicate parallel hairlines.
