    Description

Near Mint Liberty Nickel Struck on a Cent Planchet

1907 5C Liberty Nickel--Struck on a Cent Planchet--AU58 PCGS. A beautiful chocolate-brown wrong planchet error. An area of lighter tan color is noted on the upper left reverse. The devices exhibit little if any detectable wear, and the glossy surfaces are unmarked and pleasing. Undoubtedly a rare type on a Cent planchet, especially in such stellar condition. Slightly uncentered, UNITED and CENTS are partly off the flan.

The marketing was exceptional from the photos to the ads in Civil War Times and North South Trader for the cross over people!!! I have had many emails from my Civil War collecting fraternity that saw these and I saw them at the national show in Nashville/Franklin in early December.
