Description
1914-? 5C Buffalo Nickel--Obverse Half of Split Planchet--VF30 NGC. Judging by the obverse alone, this appears to be an ordinary midgrade Buffalo nickel. But the reverse lacks design details and has a rough, striated appearance. This nickel split in half sometime after striking, due to improper bonding or alloy impurities within the coinage strip.Auction Info
