Description
Double Struck in Collar 1918 Quarter AU58 Full Head
1918 25C Standing Liberty Quarter--Double Struck in Collar--AU58 Full Head NGC. This piece remained stationary between strikes, and as a result, the strike is unusually sharp. Liberty's head, the shield, the waist, and the date are all needle-sharp. The rims are of even greater interest. They are uncommonly wide, and the reverse has a partial knife rim. A pair of pinscratches are noted near the date, and a green spot is present beneath the A in DOLLAR.From The Pacific Coast Mint Error Collection.
