    Description

    1920-Dated Buffalo Nickel, AU55
    Struck on a Cent Blank

1920-? 5C Buffalo Nickel -- Struck on a Cent Blank -- AU55 NGC. 3.1 grams, the expected weight of a Wheat cent. This wrong planchet mint error was struck aligned with the collar die at 7 o'clock. LIBERTY and FIVE CENTS are partly absent, and the mintmark location is off the flan. This olive-brown example circulated briefly before a sharp-eyed finder set it aside. A patch of wispy test marks are noted on the bison's flank.
