Stunning 1921 Broadstruck Peace Dollar
Rare Error, AU58

1921 $1 Peace Dollar, Broadstrike Error, AU58 NGC. Broadstrikes are spectacular errors that occur when the collar die is not in position when a coin is struck. The unrestrained planchet expands and distorts, creating the Broadstruck error. The present coin is an attractive example of this error, with full mint luster and a sharp strike. This error is extremely rare, and is avidly pursued by error specialists. A search of auction records reveals that Heritage has never handled a specimen of this particular error before.
